About the Walk
The Snowies Alpine Package
This new 56km multi-day hike is the gem of the Kosciuszko National Park. And Knockshannoch Lodge in Charlotte Pass make the perfect base accommodation for this one-of-a-kind hiking experience.
Spanning four days and covering some of the most unique alpine terrain Australia has to offer, you will get to experience the Snowy Mountains region like never before. NSW National Parks and Wildlife suggest the following route for a self-guided experience:
Day 1: Guthega to Charlotte Pass – 9 km
Day 2: Kosciuszko Main Range Summit Walk – 22km
Day 3: Charlotte Pass to Perisher Valley – 12.7 km
Day 4: Perisher Valley to Bullocks Flat – 12km
It is this self-guided route is what we base our accommodation package on.
Charlotte Pass is a very central location throughout the walk. And so instead of moving nightly location each day, why not spend five nights enjoying the warmth of a cosy lodge with ensuites, hot water and a fireplace.

Option 1: Accommodation Only
At Knockshannoch Lodge, we make it simple. Our five night accommodation package is designed to give you comfort, security, and a place to call home during your hike.
The Details:
Stay with Knockshannoch for five nights. Choose to spend the night with us before you start your hike or add an extra day on the end of your trip to regenerate before heading home.
Enjoy our fully-stocked commercial kitchen, gas fireplace and beautiful rooms, all with ensuites.
We recommend brining two cars so you can drive to the start of the trailheads and retrieve your car at the end of the day. You will not need to drive to the start of the trail on Day 2 or 3 as you can access the route from our lodge.
Package Rate: $800 (for two people, one room)
Additional room guests can be added for a small fee.
Option 2: Transport and Accommodation
Don’t have two cars, got a bigger group or simply want everything taken care of? You can add drop-off/pick-up transport to your package, powdered by Snow Connect.
The Details:
Enjoy your five night stay at Knockshannoch with everything that is noted in Option 1, but add on the following transport needs:
Day 1: Pick-up at the Lodge, Drop off at Guthega – $55pp
Day 3: Pick-up from Perisher, Drop back at the Lodge -$45pp
Day 4: Pick-up from the Lodge, Drop off at Perisher Valley -$45pp
Day 4: Pick you from Bullock’s Flat and Drop off at the Lodge – $75pp + National Park Entry fee at $6.60pp
All Transport: $226.60 (per person)
Transport is subject to availability, and vehicles have a four person minimum. Groups less than four may incur additional fees – noted at time of booking.

Only need transport to some trailheads? No worries, let us know what transport you need when you email to book.
You’re welcome to spend Night 3 in Perisher (where you end that day), we will keep your gear and rooms as is for you to return to after Day 4.
Terms and Conditions:
- Transportation with transfer providers cannot be guaranteed. We will provide alternatives should Snow Connect not be available.
- Room holds in between stays (ie. staying offsite) can only be held for a maximum of two nights. You must return to the lodge within two days to apply for the package.
- Packages rates are the same fee for one and two people in a room. Additional guest fees apply.
