Summer Activities
During the warmer months, Knockshannoch makes a great base for bushwalking, hiking and exploring the surrounding alpine country. Bring your walking shoes or your mountain bike and make the most of the beautiful Kosciuszko National Park.
Charlotte Pass is only eight kilometres from Australia’s highest peak, Mount Kosciuszko, with the Main Range summit trail starting at the top of the village. Visit the glacial Blue Lake or walk the newly opened boardwalk to Guthega and enjoy the spectacular views of the alpine high country.
The newest hike
Snowies Alpine Walk
The Snowy Mountains’ newest gem! This spectacular four-day hike covers some of the most beautiful terrain in Australia, and Charlotte Pass is the perfect centralised location to book accommodation . Knockshannoch offer special acommodation packages for those looking to do this walk, but perhaps prefer the finer things (like a comfy queen bed, hot water and transport to trailheads).
If this sounds like you, read our Snowies Alpine Walk what-to-know page below to check out our new packages.
